Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) first made an appearance in 1999. It’s a way to ensure your digital content is accessible to the widest possible audience. While WCAG is not a governing body, it has been informally agreed upon that the guidelines published are best practices and conform with other accessibility laws. When follwoing WCAG guidelines, you make sure that classroom content—like readings, slides, and online materials—works for everyone, including students who use assistive technology. It’s all about making sure every student has an equal chance to access and participate in learning.
